Mount Gisborne

This home in Gisborne is one of those projects that truly stands out, not only for its scale, but for the level of detail and craftsmanship that can be seen throughout every part of the home.

From the very beginning, the clients had a strong vision for what they wanted to create. They were passionate about the design and heavily involved throughout the build, with regular site meetings giving us the opportunity to work through the finer details together. Rather than simply following a set of plans, this became a genuinely collaborative project, where ideas were discussed, refined and brought to life as the home took shape.

Every room has its own character, with carefully considered finishes, materials and detailing creating a home that feels unique while still flowing beautifully from one space to the next. It is the smaller details throughout the home that really set this project apart — the elements that take additional time, thought and skill to get right, but ultimately make the biggest difference to the finished result.

Our Head Carpenter, Jesse, has been a huge part of bringing this home together. This project gave him the opportunity to showcase the full extent of his carpentry skills and attention to detail. From the larger structural elements through to the intricate finishing work, his craftsmanship can be seen throughout the entire home.

Summerfield Homes was also responsible for the complete landscaping package, allowing us to carry the same level of consideration from the home through to the surrounding property. Being involved from the early stages of construction right through to the final landscaping meant we could create a finished result where the home and its outdoor spaces feel like they were always intended to sit together.

There is something particularly rewarding about standing back at the completion of a project like this and remembering where it began. What started as a bare dirt block has been transformed into a beautifully detailed home and landscaped property that reflects the vision of the clients and the workmanship of everyone involved.

For our team, this project represents what we enjoy most about building — working closely with clients who care about the details, taking pride in the craftsmanship, and creating a home that has its own identity.
